This residential workshop is taking place at Alston Hall in Preston from 25th - 27th January 2009 and is the perfect way to beat those january blues! Not only will you learn to make a beautiful bag, but the food and accommodation is wonderful too, with lively, friendly and helpful staff.

This bag has a highly textured panel that is layered, bonded and slashed. You will create lots of samples using a variety of coloured fabrics and materials and the embroidery can be by hand or machine.
The wrapped hoop is a decorative option, or you can have two hoops for your bag strap or one hoop with an adjustable tie strap.
You can make your bag with or without a flap closure, the gusset can be made much wider to create a bigger bag and it can also have an external pocket if you require.
It has 3 internal pockets.

At last I’ve managed to finish lots of beautiful new bags for christmas! They are all now available to purchase from the following 3 galleries:
The Platform gallery in Clitheroe, Pendle heritage centre in Barrowford
and Skipton town hall.
Unfortunately I have not got any of the new bags for sale on my website due to these gallery commitments, but if you would like to be sent images of these bags, I can then e-mail you to say which gallery each particular bag is in.
